Acclaimed Chinese photographer Chen Man is set to unveil an NFT collection featuring the artist Grimes. This collection, named “Silent Noise: Episode 01,” launches today at 3:00 pm UTC. The release will be exclusive to LiveArt, a global Web3 platform for art and culture backed by Binance Labs and Animoca Brands and founded by veterans of Sotheby’s and Christie’s. The collection can be accessed at https://chenman.liveart.xyz.
Chen Man has left a significant mark on fashion photography in her native China, collaborating with magazines like Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, i-D, and Muse. Her works have found a place in the permanent collections of the Victoria & Albert (V&A) Museum in London and the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, while high-profile collectors have purchased Chen’s prints for up to $25,000.
LiveArt plans to introduce Chen Man to global Web3 audiences with the multi-chapter “Silent Noise” NFT series of artworks that delve into the future of humanity and AI.
For her inaugural digital collection, Chen Man has chosen a shoot with Grimes titled “The Last AI Robot On Earth.” This shoot took place a day before Grimes gave birth to her son X AE A-Xii. Both Grimes and Chen Man share a fascination with AI, its origins, and its potential. This shared interest forms the basis of Chen Man’s first Web3 project.
Chen Man’s goal is to provide an interactive and engaging experience for her audience. Each “Silent Noise” drop will coincide with opportunities to earn $ART token rewards, unique 1/1 works, and even attend a photoshoot with Chen Man. Additional rewards will be offered to LiveArt’s X Card holders. A select few collectors will also have the opportunity to be part of the second chapter of this journey, “The Memory Brick,” which will explore the impact of rapidly evolving AI on human memory, combining physical/digital art and social commentary.
