The Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco — which tells the story of the visionary artist’s life, family, creativity, and innovations through state-of-the-art exhibits packed with rare film clips, concept art, scripts, letters and telegrams, musical scores, and animation equipment — is actively developing new ways to become more readily accessible to international travelers, most notably from China. Currently, the museum has Mandarin audio guides available for guests and offers discounted rates for Chinese frequent independent travelers (FITs). They also recently added an array of foreign language functions to their website: waltdisney.org. (The option to translate to simplified Chinese can be found in the bottom left-hand corner of their homepage.) Up next: a partnership with UnionPay for easy payments as well as a special promotion with which UnionPay cardholders get a discounted admission and free access to the museum audio guide.
